Defect‐Rich High‐Entropy Spinel Oxide as an Efficient and Robust Oxygen Evolution Catalyst for Seawater Electrolysis

open access: yesSusMat, EarlyView.
Defect‐rich (NiCoMnCrFe)3O4 high‐entropy oxide is fabricated, which shows unprecedented activity toward oxygen evolution in alkaline seawater, outperforming (NiCoMnCrZnFe)3O4, (NiCoMnCrZnAlFe)3O4, (NiCoMnFe)3O4, well‐crystallized (NiCoMnCrFe)3O4‐H, IrO2, and the‐state‐of‐art reported electrocatalysts.

Modeling fire‐related smoke inhalation injury using the human lung‐on‐a‐chip and organoid platform: Pathogenesis insights and therapeutic evaluation

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Fire‐related smoke inhalation‐induced acute lung injury (SI‐ALI) poses a significant public health risk, yet effective treatments are limited due to the lack of suitable models. This study developed a more realistic model of SI‐ALI using organ‐on‐a‐chip and organoid technologies, identified key molecules such as catechol‐O‐methyltransferase and ...

The Interaction Between Vasculogenic Mimicry and the Immune System: Mechanistic Insights and Dual Exploration in Cancer Therapy

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
VM is a novel form of angiogenesis discovered in many malignant tumours in recent years. And the well‐known immune response and related immune cells play different regulatory roles in the formation of VM. ABSTRACT Vasculogenic mimicry (VM) represents a novel form of angiogenesis discovered in numerous malignant tumours in recent years.

Microbial Loads in Traumatized Immature Teeth and Their Impact on the Treatment Outcomes of Regenerative Endodontic Treatment: A Randomized Clinical Trial Comparing Chlorhexidine and Calcium Hydroxide

open access: yesDental Traumatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Regenerative endodontic treatment (RET) aims to promote root maturation in necrotic immature teeth, where effective microbial disinfection is crucial for treatment success. This study evaluated the effect of calcium hydroxide (CH) and 2% chlorhexidine gluconate (CHD) as intracanal medicaments and their impact on bacterial loads ...

Characterization and ex vivo modelling of endodontic infections from the Arabian Gulf region

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim The microbiota of endodontic infections in patients from the Arabian Gulf region (AGR) is largely unexplored. While research in different global regions has investigated the microbial composition of such infections, studies using shotgun metagenomic sequencing (SMS) alongside culture‐dependent techniques (CDT) are limited.

From pulp to cementum: 3D visualization of soft and hard dental tissues using different ex vivo nano‐CT contrast‐enhancement techniques

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim To determine the effect of two contrast‐enhancement strategies in nano‐computed tomography (nano‐CT) imaging on the contrast‐to‐noise ratio (CNR) of various dental tissues, including pulp, dentine and cementum, with the goal of enhancing the visibility of dental soft tissues to a level not yet reported in laboratory nano‐CT imaging ...

Viral Nervous Necrosis due to Betanodavirus: A Case Study in Pot‐Bellied Seahorses (Hippocampus abdominals)

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Betanodaviruses, members of the Nodaviridae family, are the causative agents of viral nervous necrosis in fish, resulting in great economic losses worldwide. This is the first case study describing the detection and confirmation of viral nervous necrosis in pot‐bellied seahorses (Hippocampus abdominalis) in Australia.

Sodium thiosulfate treatment rescues hyperglycaemia‐induced pronephros damage in zebrafish by upregulating nitric oxide signalling

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Sodium thiosulfate (STS) rescues the pronephros phenotype of pdx1 morphants through compensatory upregulation of nitric oxide (NO) metabolism. Zebrafish larvae injected with a control morpholino show the typical pronephros structure at 48 h post‐fertilization (hpf) with and without STS treatment.
