Gold extraction from oxide ore using iron ion-thiourea-additive

open access: yesGreen Processing and Synthesis
To address the challenges of high reagent consumption and environmental risks in traditional cyanide gold extraction, this study investigated the leaching of gold from an oxide ore sourced from a gold mine in Laos using an iron ion-thiourea-thiocyanate ...

Isopentyl-Sulfide-Impregnated Nano-MnO2 for the Selective Sorption of Pd(II) from the Leaching Liquor of Ores

open access: yesMolecules, 2017
Conventional separation methods are not suitable for recovering palladium present in low concentrations in ore leaching solutions. In this study, a novel isopentyl sulfide (S201)-impregnated α-MnO2 nanorod adsorbent (BISIN) was prepared, characterized ...

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of 1-(3-fluorophenyl)-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoyl)thiourea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The title thiourea was synthesized by reaction of 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoyl isothiocyante with 3-fluoroaniline. The 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoyl isothiocyante was produced in situ by reaction of 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoyl chloride with ammonium thiocyanate in dry ...

Enhanced Electron‐Capturing by Single‐Atomic Iron on Pyridinic N‐Deficient Carbon Drives Self‐Oxidative Degradation of Pollutants

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Pyrolysis of FeOx/g‐C3N4 and ZIF‐8 is performed to introduce Fe single atom and pyridinic nitrogen vacancies onto N‐doped carbon. This modification enables the materials to efficiently extract electrons from ciprofloxacin (CIP) and activate dissolved oxygen. 100% of CIP was degraded within 1 min without adding any oxidant.

Recovery of Pure Pd(II) from Spent Electroplating Solutions by Solvent Extraction with Ionic Liquids from Sulfuric Acid Leaching Solution of Cemented Pd

open access: yesMetals, 2021
Palladium (Pd) electroplating is widely practiced in the manufacture of advanced electronic devices. The Pd(II) present in spent electroplating solutions is treated by cementation with zinc (Zn) metal powder. In order to recover pure Pd from the cemented

Thiourea-thiocyanate leaching system for gold [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
manuscriptThe leaching of gold in thiourea-thiocyanate solutions has been studied by the rotating-disk technique using ferric sulfate as oxidant. The effects of initial concentrations of ferric, thiourea (Tu) and thiocyanate as well as temperature and pH
