Anesthesia for thoracoscopic surgery
Anesthesia for thoracoscopy is based on one lung ventilation. Lung separators in the airway are essential tools. An anatomical shunt as a result of the continued perfusion of a non-ventilated lung is the principal intraoperative concern. The combination of equipment, technique and process increase risks of hypoxia and dynamic hyperinflation, in turn ...

Thoracoscopic operations in children [PDF]
Over the past two decades there has been an exponential growth in the use of thoracoscopy in children. Indeed, many advanced procedures-including lobectomy, repair of tracheoesophageal fistula, excision of mediastinal tumours, and diaphragmatic hernia repairs-can now be performed by this means in advanced paediatric surgical centres in the world.

Cardiac Organoid Model Inspired Micro‐Robot Smart Patch to Treat Myocardial Infarction
The heart organoid model exhibits the acidic microenvironment characteristic of myocardial infarction, which emerges as a pivotal force propelling the movement of micro‐robots. These micro‐robots, administered through microneedles, can penetrate deep into the tissue, effectively delivering therapeutic payloads to facilitate heart repair.

A Case of Pericostal Tuberculosis Discovered Incidentally on an Abdominal MRI
A mobile pleural mass on an MRI was incidentally detected in a 45‐year‐old woman. Thoracoscopic resection revealed pericostal tuberculosis with PCR‐positive Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This rare case emphasizes considering pericostal tuberculosis in the differential diagnosis of pleural tumors if there are suspicious MRI features.

Body composition and adipose tissue play a role in the predisposition and progression of lung cancer. Patients with lung carcinoma exhibited lower levels of adiponectin compared with the control population. Additionally, adiponectin levels in patients undergo changes after surgical resection of lung carcinoma.

Effect of Refined Nursing on Wound Complications After Thoracoscopic Surgery for Lung Cancer
In this study, different nursing modes were evaluated and compared in patients undergoing thoracoscopic radical lung cancer resection to determine which is more effective in managing postoperative wound complications. Compared with the control group, the implementation of refined nursing intervention for patients with thoracoscopic radical resection of

A diffusely thickened or hard pleura is a special type of macroscopic appearance associated with benign or malignant conditions. Medical thoracoscopy (MT) is the gold standard for pleural pathology, but its diagnostic yield is imperfect. Although cryobiopsy may provide greater and deeper tissue, its impact on the diagnostic yield remains uncertain, and
