Trends in radiotherapy administration in the management of hepatocellular carcinoma: Analysis of a Korean tertiary hospital registry of hepatocellular carcinoma patients diagnosed between 2005 and 2017

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2022
PurposeTo present the trends in radiotherapy for the management of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) at a single tertiary referral hospital in South Korea.Materials and MethodsWe retrospectively reviewed prospectively collected registry data of patients ...

Palliative Radiotherapy for Bleeding from Unresectable Gastric Cancer Using Three-Dimensional Conformal Technique

open access: yesBiomedicines, 2022
Optimal regimens using recent radiotherapy (RT) equipment for bleeding gastric cancer (GC) have not been fully investigated yet. We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of 20 patients who received RT for bleeding GC in our institution between 2016 ...

Localization and Dualities in Three Dimensional Superconformal Field Theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this thesis we apply the technique of localization to three-dimensional N=2 superconformal field theories. We consider both theories which are exactly superconformal, and those which are believed to flow to nontrivial superconformal fixed points, for

Hypofractionation in postmastectomy breast irradiation. How safe are we in using standard tangentials?

open access: yesAsian Journal of Oncology, 2017
Aim: Hypofractionation in breast radiotherapy is gaining increasing relevance in routine clinical practice; however, gray areas remain on its safety. Majority of data regarding the same pertains to the treatment of the conserved breast.

Dosimetric comparison between conventional and conformal radiotherapy for carcinoma cervix: Are we treating the right volumes?

open access: yesSouth Asian Journal of Cancer, 2013
Background and Purpose: Conventional portals, based on bony anatomy, for external beam radiotherapy for cervical cancer have been repeatedly demonstrated as inadequate.

Intensity modulated radiotherapy in early stage Hodgkin lymphoma patients: Is it better than three dimensional conformal radiotherapy?

open access: yesRadiation Oncology, 2012
Background Cure rate of early Hodgkin Lymphoma are high and avoidance of late toxicities is of paramount importance. This comparative study aims to assess the normal tissue sparing capability of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) versus ...

Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy for Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Patients Unfit for Resection, Ablation, or Chemotherapy: A Retrospective Study

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2013
Purpose. The purpose is to evaluate the feasibility, efficacy, and the toxicity of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) in patients with advanced hepatocelluar carcinoma (HCC) and inferior vena cava tumor thrombosis (IVCTT). Methods.

External beam accelerated partial breast irradiation: dosimetric assessment of conformal and three different intensity modulated techniques

open access: yesRadiology and Oncology, 2019
The aim of the study was to evaluate and compare four different external beam radiotherapy techniques of accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) considering target coverage, dose to organs at risk and overall plan quality.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Comparison of the Dosimetric Benefits of Two Different Three-dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy Treatment Approaches for Postmastectomy Radiotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Radiation and Cancer Research
Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in urban areas in India, which is treated with external beam radiotherapy as a part of a multimodality treatment approach.
