Three-dimensional fetal echocardiography
The complex anatomy and dynamics of the heart make it a challenging organ to image. The fetal heart is particularly difficult because it is located deep within the mother's abdomen and direct access to electrocardiographic information is difficult.

Three-dimensional echocardiography of the thoracic aorta [PDF]
The feasibility and diagnostic potential of three-dimensional echocardiography, using transoesophageal multiplane echocardiography for the assessment of thoracic aortic pathology, has not been evaluated. We studied 21 patients (10 women, 11 men), mean age 52.1 years (range 20-78).

ELABELA Targets Mitochondria to Modulate Heart Development
The role of peptide ELABELA (ELA) in cardiomyocyte apoptosis and congenital heart disease (CHD) is unclear. ELA deficiency caused cardiomyocyte apoptosis and CHD. A novel ELA‐APJ‐AKT‐BCL2/BAX axis in regulating mitochondrial function and contributing to CHD pathogenesis was established.

Real-time three-dimensional ultrasound : a valuable new tool in preoperative assessment of complex congenital cardiac disease [PDF]
Evaluating complex cardiac defects in small children preoperatively requires multiple diagnostic procedures including echocardiography, and also invasive methods such as cardiac catheterisation, computer-tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.

G3BP1 Succinylation at K413 is Critical for Cardiac Function by Modulating PI3K‐AKT‐mTOR Signal Axis
Schematic illustrating the impact of G3BP1 succinylation at K413 on cardiac function. In the healthy human heart, G3BP1 succinylation maintains homeostatic mTOR signaling. In patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and heart failure (HF), G3BP1 de‐succinylation induces RagA expression and disrupts the binding of the TSC1/2 complex, leading to the ...

Background The utility of three-dimensional echocardiography (3DE) for right ventricular (RV) assessment is uncertain in older children and adults with congenital heart disease (CHD), in whom the right ventricle is often dilated and dysfunction is common.

Vascular Abnormalities in Hypermobile Ehlers–Danlos Syndrome: A Retrospective Cohort Study
ABSTRACT Hypermobile Ehlers–Danlos syndrome (hEDS), while generally free from severe vascular complications, may occasionally present with cardiac and vascular abnormalities that warrant specific investigation. While studies have been conducted on the prevalence of cardiac involvement, none have focused on vascular aspects. This retrospective study was
