Two-dimensional numerical experiments of convection. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
PhDI report the results of numerical studies of 2-dimensional fully compressible convection of a fluid in which the dependence of the radiative conductivity on temperature T is taken as K, (V + aT -5)1 so that central regions of the layer are unstable ...

Reconstruction of ocean temperature and salinity profiles in the Northern South China Sea using satellite observations

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2022
Based on historical temperature and salinity (T–S) profiles, the correlation between the sea surface temperature (SST) anomaly, sea surface dynamic height (SSH) anomaly, and temperature profile anomaly is constructed by regression analysis.

Amalgamation of Geometry Structure, Meteorological and Thermophysical Parameters for Intelligent Prediction of Temperature Fields in 3D Scenes

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Temperature field calculation is an important step in infrared image simulation. However, the existing solutions, such as heat conduction modelling and pre-generated lookup tables based on temperature calculation tools, are difficult to meet the ...

Simulation calculation and comparative analysis of three-dimensional temperature field of ultra high voltage through wall bushing under different current carrying capacity

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2021
As the key equipment of UHV transmission and transformation line, UHV bushing needs to carry the ultra-high voltage and large current of UHV power system at the same time.

Spontaneous generation of magnetic field in three dimensional QED at finite temperature [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1998
We investigate the effects of thermal fluctuations on the spontaneous magnetic condensate in three dimensional QED coupled with P-odd Dirac fermions. Our results show that the phenomenon of the spontaneous generation of the constant background magnetic field survives to the thermal corrections even at infinite temperature.

Aspects of finite temperature corrections in string theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
PhDIn this thesis some aspects of temperature corrections in string theory are analyzed: in particular, we study the thermal contributions to the 4 dimensional effective potential arising from string theory compactifications.

Three-dimensional temperature field measurement of flame using a single light field camera [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Express, 2016
Compared with conventional camera, the light field camera takes the advantage of being capable of recording the direction and intensity information of each ray projected onto the CCD (charge couple device) sensor simultaneously. In this paper, a novel method is proposed for reconstructing three-dimensional (3-D) temperature field of a flame based on a ...

Localization and Dualities in Three Dimensional Superconformal Field Theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this thesis we apply the technique of localization to three-dimensional N=2 superconformal field theories. We consider both theories which are exactly superconformal, and those which are believed to flow to nontrivial superconformal fixed points, for

Aspects of three-dimensional MHD : magnetic reconnection and rotating coronae [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Solutions of the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations are very important for modelling laboratory, space and astrophysical plasmas, for example the solar and stellar coronae, as well as for modelling many of the dynamic processes that occur in these ...

The influence of a mean magnetic field on three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic turbulence [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Building on results from two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) turbulence (Shebalin, Matthaeus & Montgomery 1983), the development of anisotropic states from initially isotropic ones is investigated numerically for fully three-dimensional ...
