ABSTRACT Background Atrial pacing at right atrial appendage causes nonphysiologic delays. Bachmann's bundle (BB) pacing preserves synchrony but lacks pediatric data. Case Summary We report the first pediatric combined BB and left bundle branch area pacing in a 9‐year‐old boy (23.5 kg).

Transesophageal two-dimensional echocardiography for the detection of left atrial appendage thrombus
Thrombi located in the left atrial appendage are frequently not detected with conventional two-dimensional echocardiography. The transesophageal echocardiographic approach readily visualizes left atrial morphology and may be used as an alternative.

A patient‐specific Fluid–structure Interaction (FSI) model of aortic stenosis was verified against in vitro experiments using a mock‐loop circulatory system with patient‐specific calcified and non‐calcified valve models under varying flow conditions. The in vitro experiments were replicated in the FSI model.

Case Report: A rare diffuse mitral valvular myxoma
Cardiac myxoma is a common benign tumor, however, myxoma extensively distributed on the mitral valve is rare and seldom reported. A patient who presented with exertional dyspnea and chest tightness was examined by transthoracic and transesophageal ...

Contrast-enhanced CMR in patients after percutaneous closure of the left atrial appendage: A pilot study [PDF]
Background To evaluate the feasibility and value of first-pass contrast-enhanced dynamic and post-contrast 3D CMR in patients after transcatheter occlusion of left atrial appendage (LAA) to identify incorrect placement and persistent leaks.

Three-Dimensional Imaging of a Central Venous Dialysis Catheter Related Infected Thrombus
Three-dimensional (3D) echocardiography is becoming widely available and with novel applications. We report an interesting case of a 68-year-old lady with a central venous thrombosis coincident with both a dialysis catheter infection and a recent ...

Intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography. [PDF]
Intraoperative echocardiography in patients undergoing cardiac surgery was first described in 1972. Interest in intraoperative echocardiography has grown in recent years due to the extensive information provided by 2-dimensional (2-D) and color-flow ...
