Analysis Of Low Temperature Impact Fracture Data Of Thermoplastic Polymers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Impact fracture toughness of polypropylene (PP) blends, high density polyethylene (HDPE) and rubber toughened polymethylmethacrylate (RTPMMA) has been studied by means of three-point bending falling weight impact testing at different temperatures ranging

Cu‐Based MOF/TiO2 Composite Nanomaterials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation and the Role of Copper

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Comparison between three-point and four-point flexural tests to determine wood strength of eucalyptus specimens

open access: yesMaderas: Ciencia y Tecnología, 2018
Comparison between flexural wood strength values obtained from three-point and four-point bending tests in wood were only reported in few previous works, but remains unclear.

Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

The structural behavior of a graphite-polymide honeycomb sandwich panel with quasi-isotropic face sheets and an orthotropic core [PDF]

open access: yes
The results of a series of tests of graphite-polyimide honeycomb sandwich panels are presented. The panels were 1.22 m long, 0.508 m wide, and approximately 13.3 m thick.

Granite stone subjected to ultrasonic fatigue tests under three point bending modality

open access: yesFrattura ed Integrità Strutturale, 2019
Ultrasonic fatigue tests are carried out under the modality of three points bending on the granite stone. The testing specimens present a prismatic shape with the dimensions: 12 x 3 x 0.8 centimeters, in order to be supported at the two ends (1 centimeter of support each side), and to configure the three points bending modality.
