INVERSE MODEL OF DISPLACEMENT FOR THREE-POINT BENDING TEST
Three-point bending is an important test for various parameters in material science. In order to validate our layered fracture model we need a relationship between the loading force and the displacement.

Three point bend creep testing of carbon/epoxy [PDF]
This study provides data to verify theoretical models for predicting and characterizing viscoelastic behavior of fiber composites. Since performing uninterrupted creep tests for years at a time was not feasible, creep behavior was accelerated with elevated temperatures.

αSiC - βSiC - graphene composites
In this study, the mechanical properties of the pressureless sintered samples of α-SiC based composite containing 0–3 wt.% graphene and 0–15 wt.% nano β-SiC were investigated. Simultaneous usage of nano β-SiC and graphene and transformation of β-SiC (3C)

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Three-Point Bending Fatigue Test of TiAl6V4 Titanium Alloy at Room Temperature
A polycrystalline alpha-beta TiAl6V4 alloy in the annealed condition was used for the three-point bending fatigue test at frequency f∼100 Hz. The static preload Fstat. = −15 kN and variable dynamic force Fdyn. = −7 kN to −13.5 kN were set as fatigue test

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

Objective Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies.
