Three-Component Reactions for Post-Polymerization Modifications

ACS Macro Letters, 2013
A Cu-catalyzed multi-component reaction (CuMCR) of terminal alkynes, sulfonyl azides, and amines was employed in a post-polymerization modification process. The reaction was conducted on polystyrene bearing 20 mol % alkyne groups with 4-toluenesulfonyl azide and dihexylamine in the presence of a Cu(PPh3)3Br/diisopropylethylamine catalyst.

Recent Advances in Photochemical Asymmetric Three‐Component Reactions

The Chemical Record, 2023
AbstractOver the past decades, asymmetric photochemical synthesis has garnered significant attention for its sustainability and unique ability to generate enantio‐enriched molecules through distinct reaction pathways. Photochemical asymmetric three‐component reactions have demonstrated significant potential for the rapid construction of chiral ...

Direct Catalytic Asymmetric Three‐Component Kabachnik–Fields Reaction

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2008
As mimics of α‐amino acids, α‐amino phosphonates have great promise as antibacterial and anti‐HIV agents as well as protease inhibitors. Racemic α‐branched aldehydes react, in the presence the new chiral phosphoric acid catalyst 1, directly with p‐anisidine (PMPNH2) and a phosphite to furnish β‐branched α‐amino phosphonates highly diastereoselectively ...

Concentration Oscillations in Three-Component Reaction Systems

Biochemistry (Moscow), 2003
Based on the sufficient conditions for the existence of oscillation modes in the mathematical models of biological systems, simple three-component schemes of chemical reactions with oscillatory behavior including only mono- and bimolecular steps are suggested.
