Assessing Flexural Behavior of Stabilized and Reinforced Clay [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهش‌های زیرساخت‌های عمرانی
In this study, the flexural behavior of stabilized and reinforced clay was investigated. For this purpose, kaolinite, lime at weight dosages of 1%, 3%, and 5%, as well as polypropylene fibers of 6 mm and 12 mm in length, and weight contents of 0.15%, 0 ...

Hydrogen‐Assisted Fracture of Iron‐Based Fe–Ni–Al Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Principal relations and fracture mechanisms of single‐phase and precipitate‐strengthened Fe–Ni–Al alloys subjected to prior electrochemical hydrogen charging are identified. The mechanisms of hydrogen effect on strength and microhardness are discussed, including hydrogen‐induced increase in microhardness and the role of hydrogen in fracture behavior ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Effects of Hydrothermal-Chemical Treatments on Bending Performance and Physical-Mechanical Properties of Four Timber Species

open access: yesBioResources
The bending behavior of four key timber species (Fraxinus chinensis, teak, rubberwood, and Pinus yunnanensis) was evaluated under hydrothermal-chemical treatments. Controlled experiments at varying moisture contents (20 to 60%), temperatures (100 to 140 °

Enhancing the Flexural Characteristics of Stabilized Kaolinite Clay by Reinforcing with Composite Fiber [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهش‌های زیرساخت‌های عمرانی
In this research, a new type of fiber known as composite fibers has been utilized to enhance the flexural properties of stabilized clay. The core of the composite fiber consists of elastane, while its shell is composed of numerous polyester fibers.
