Practical low-cost CPL implementations threshold logic functions

open access: yesProceedings of the 11th Great Lakes symposium on VLSI, 2001
Comunicación presentada al "GLSVLSI'01" celebrado en USA del 22 al 23 de Marzo del 2001.-- El pdf es la versión post-print. This paper gives the rationale for the Complementary Pass-Transistor Logic (CPL) implementation of threshold gates for the design of complex logic functions.

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

A high speed implementation of the random decrement algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes
The algorithm is useful for measuring net system damping levels in stochastic processes and for the development of equivalent linearized system response models. The algorithm works by summing together all subrecords which occur after predefined threshold

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Advancing the community plan to end the HIV Epidemic in Philadelphia: a qualitative descriptive evaluation of low-threshold PrEP services in sexual health clinics

open access: yesImplementation Science Communications
Background Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is an effective HIV prevention method and a key component of Philadelphia’s Community Plan to End the HIV Epidemic (EHE). However, significant barriers to accessing PrEP exist among people at risk for HIV.

ALGEBRAIC AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEURAL NETWORK THRESHOLD SECRET SHARING SCHEME

open access: yesНаука. Инновации. Технологии, 2022
In the article is developing new theoretical approaches to the construction of the concept of active security on the points of an elliptic curve, which are based on the new scheme of perfect secret sharing on the points of an elliptic curve, permit the ...

Improved forms of threshold-logicfunction implementation

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1977
Improved forms of implementation for threshold-logic functions are described. These are based on a recently described cellular array, but require significantly fewer cells than previously described arrays. They could provide the basis of an economical way of producing threshold-logic elements.

Network Localization of Fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Fatigue is among the most common symptoms and one of the main factors determining the quality of life in multiple sclerosis (MS). However, the neurobiological mechanisms underlying fatigue are not fully understood. Here we studied lesion locations and their connections in individuals with MS, aiming to identify brain networks ...
