Fuzzy Throttle And Brake Control For Platoons Of Smart Cars [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
This study demonstrates the use of an additive fuzzy system to control the velocity and gap of cars in a single lane two-car platoon. A throttle- only controller and a combined throttle and braker controller were tested.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Spray characteristics of throttle body fuel injection

open access: yes, 1989
A research program was undertaken to characterize the spray behavior of a throttle body injection system. Qualitative data were obtained using photomicrography, schlieren photography and videotape.

Adaptive Fuzzy Throttle Control for an All Terrain Vehicle

open access: yes, 2018
This paper describes an adaptive fuzzy throttle control for an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) powered by an internal combustion engine. The design objective is to provide smooth throttle movement and zero steadystate speed error, and to maintain a selected ...

Small Opening Flow Linearity Optimization of High-Pressure and Large-Flow Two-Way Proportional Throttle Valve

open access: yesMachines
As a key component of the die-casting machine, the flow linearity of the high-pressure, large-flow proportional throttle valve is a critical factor affecting injection accuracy at low openings.

THE PROBLEM OF ENSURING UNINTERRUPTED EXPLOITATION OF WELLS ON THE FIELDS AT THE LATE STAGE OF OPERATION

open access: yesВестник Северо-Кавказского федерального университета, 2022
The design of a ramjet wellhead choke, with automatic cleaning throttle channel, which can set in the axial channel of pipe at the wellhead. When the differential pressure increase, which occurs in the case of the axial channel nozzle clogging with ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Experimental and simulative study on throttle valve function in the process of wave energy conversion

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2017
In wave energy converters, it is hard to achieve efficient and stable energy generation because of wave instability. Based on a hydraulic transmission system of single float wave power generation equipment, this article studies the effect of throttle ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
