DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF AUTO DEPTH CONTROL OF REMOTELY OPERATED VEHICLE USING THRUSTER SYSTEM [PDF]
Remotely Operated Vehicles are underwater robots designed specifically for surveillance, monitoring and collecting data for underwater activities. In the underwater vehicle industries, the thruster is an important part in controlling the direction, depth

A Parallelized Genetic Algorithm to Evaluate Asteroid Impact Missions Using Electric Propulsion
A streamlined genetic algorithm was developed and implemented on a GPU to evaluate low-thrust trajectories of spacecraft propelled by an ion thruster. It was then applied to examine the utility of a specific thruster for an asteroid impact mission.

Design and Construction of a 2.45 GHz Microwave Electrothermal Thruster [PDF]
A microwave electrothermal thruster (MET thruster) has been constructed, consisting of a microwave plasma chamber 12 cm long and 8 cm in inner diameter and a micronozzle 10 mm long with 1 mm in diameter.

A multiple thruster array for 30-cm thrusters [PDF]
The 3.0-m diameter chamber of the 7.6-m diameter by 21.4-m long vacuum tank at NASA LeRC was modified to permit testing of an array of up to six 30-cm thrusters with a variety of laboratory and thermal vacuum bread-board power systems. A primary objective of the Multiple Thruster Array (MTA) program is to assess the impact of multiple thruster ...

Emission Modes in Electrospray Thrusters Operating with High Conductivity Ionic Liquids
Electrospray thruster life and mission performance are strongly influenced by grid impingement, the extent of which can be correlated with emission modes that occur at steady-state extraction voltages, and thruster command transients.

Micro Coriolis mass flow censor with extended range for a monopropellant micro propulsion system [PDF]
We have designed and realised a micromachined micro Coriolis flow sensor for the measurement of hydrazine (N2H4, High Purity Grade) propellant flow in micro chemical propulsion systems.

Development of a Laser Micro-Thruster and On-Orbit Testing
Laser micro-thrust technology is a type of propulsion that uses a laser beam to ablate a propellant such as a metal or plastic. The ablated material is expelled out the back of the spacecraft, generating thrust.

Simulating a Cyber-Attack on the Mass Thruster Controllers at Low-Speed Motion
The aim of this paper is to highlight the vulnerability of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) to cyber-attack and to illustrate, through a simulation experiment on a testbed, how to mitigate a cyber-attack on the MASS thruster controllers during ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.
