Multiferroic‐Centric Materials and Systems Engineering for Battery Applications: An Insight Into Mechanisms, Strategies, and Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiferroic order parameters – polarization, magnetization, and ferroelastic strain – are positioned as dynamic design variables for batteries. Their mechanistic roles, practical tuning through fabrication and external fields, and ferroic‐resolved characterization routes are unified into a closed‐loop framework, revealing how coupled ferroic responses

Bypassing Pre‐Photoactivation in High‐Barrier Polyamide for Robust and Scalable Organic Persistent Luminescence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A universal paradigm resolves the trade‐off between ambient stability and barrier properties in organic persistent luminescent (OPL) polymers. By interlocking chromophores within a high‐barrier MXD6 matrix, we achieved no Pre‐photoactivation OPLs with exceptional long‐term stability in water.

Thulium-doped silica-based optical fibers for cladding-pumped fiber amplifiers [PDF]

open access: yesOptical Materials, 2007
We present preparation and spectroscopic characterization of the Tm-doped fibers with enhanced 3H4 fluorescence lifetime thanks to codoping with alumina. With the alumina content of 10 mol %, the fluorescence lifetime of 58 μs was achieved. Using experimentally obtained fiber characteristics, we used numerical simulations to study and optimize for the ...

Biomimetic Nanoplatform for Dual Target Nano‐Metabolic Therapy in Diabetes‐Associated Biofilm Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic GOx/Arg‐loaded nanoplatform produces nitric oxide through an in situ catalytic cascade reaction, enabling dual‐target metabolic regulation in diabetes‐associated biofilm infections. Bacterial metabolism is disrupted, and macrophage immunometabolism is reprogrammed, resulting in biofilm eradication, immune restoration, and enhanced ...

Introducing Borsantrazole: A Trifunctional Boron‐Based Pyrazole That Extends the Lifespan of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Herein we report a boron‐based pyrazole, (Borsantrazole ‐ a small molecule that selectively targets oxidative stress) that significantly increases survival, reduces weight loss, delays disease onset, and affects global protein changes in the SOD1‐G37R mouse model of ALS.

Numerical Analysis of an Yb3+:Er3+:Tm3+:Ho3+ Wideband Optical Fiber Amplifier [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
In this work, we numerically investigate the gain properties of an Yb3+:Er3+:Tm3+:Ho3+ co-doped optical fiber amplifier. The numerical simulations show that a gain higher than 15 dB in a wavelength range of 300 nm can be achieved. The erbium amplifies in
