Semiconducting Polymer Dots as Saturable Absorbers for Mode-Locked Thulium-Doped Fiber Lasers

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
We demonstrated an all-fiber passively mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser (TDFL) using organic semiconducting polymer dots (Pdots) based saturable absorber (SA).

New techniques for multiple wavelength fiber laser generation based on edfa and tdfa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Multiple wavelength fiber laser (MWFL) can be a potential source for microwave generation as the conventional microwave generator have several issues in generating high frequency.

Tensile Stimulation in Biorelevant Culture Conditions Enhances MSC and TPSC Tenogenesis on Aligned Electrospun Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Biomimetic electrospun scaffold incorporating GDF‐7‐loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticles, combined with mechanical stimulation and physiological oxygen tension, guides tenogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stromal cell and tendon progenitor stem cell. This integrated approach enhances cell proliferation, matrix deposition, and tendon‐specific gene

Temperature investigation of low SWaP thulium-doped fiber lasers

open access: yesOptics Express
We investigate the temperature dependence of an in-band core-pumped thulium-doped fiber laser with a low SWaP (size, weight, and power) architecture. The temperature investigation is carried out both experimentally and numerically by a simulation model.

Spectroscopic investigations of a Ti:Tm:LiNbO3 waveguide for photon-echo quantum memory

open access: yes, 2009
We report the fabrication and characterization of a Ti$^{4+}$:Tm$^{3+}$:LiNbO$_3$ optical waveguide in view of photon-echo quantum memory applications.

Nerve growth factor is sufficient to cause multiple osteoarthritis‐relevant pathological features in naïve murine knee joints

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective Nerve growth factor (NGF), a key mediator of pain, is increased in osteoarthritic (OA) joints. Antibodies against NGF show analgesic effects in painful knee OA, but clinical development was stopped due to side‐effects in the joints. Knowledge about the biological effects of NGF on joint tissues is limited.

1867–2010 nm tunable femtosecond thulium-doped all-fiber laser

open access: yesOptics Express, 2017
We propose and demonstrate a broadly wavelength tunable mode-locked thulium-doped all-fiber laser, delivering sub-400 femtosecond (fs) pulses and tuning from 1867 nm to 2010 nm. The tunable range of 143 nm, to our best knowledge, is the widest in the femtosecond mode-locked thulium-doped fiber lasers (TDFLs).

Laser Cooled High-Power Fiber Amplifier

open access: yes, 2009
A theoretical model for laser cooled continuous-wave fiber amplifier is presented. The amplification process takes place in the Tm3+-doped core of the fluoride ZBLAN (ZrF4-BaF2-LaF3-AlF3-NaF) glass fiber. The cooling process takes place in the Yb3+:ZBLAN
