Thermo‐Fluorescent Bactericidal Quantum Dots Based Smart Multifunctional Textiles via Molecular Surface Engineering and 3D‐Printed Interlocked Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A versatile approach is presented for fabricating smart multifunctional textiles by integrating thermo‐fluorescent carbon dot/polymer nanocomposite coatings with 3D‐printed interlocked architectures. The fabrics exhibit temperature‐responsive fluorescence, durable hydrophobicity, strong antibacterial and antioxidant activity, and enhanced UV protection.

Engineering Resatorvid‐Loaded Sub‐Microgels of Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate/Hyaluronic Acid to Treat Acute Lung Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents HAEP@Res sub‐microgels as a lung‐targeted delivery system integrating antioxidant activity with anti‐inflammatory therapy. The sub‐microgels demonstrate excellent biocompatibility, efficiently scavenge intracellular ROS, and downregulate pro‐inflammatory cytokines and genes in a Bleo‐induced ALI mouse model. These findings highlight

2.0-$\mu\hbox{m}$ Q-Switched Thulium-Doped Fiber Laser With Graphene Oxide Saturable Absorber

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2013
A compact Q-switched thulium-doped fiber laser (TDFL) operating near the 2.0- $\mu\hbox{m}$ region is proposed and demonstrated. The proposed laser uses a 2-m-long thulium-doped fiber with a core absorption of 27 dB/m at 793 nm as the active medium and a

Noise-like pulse generation in 1.95 µm region using bulk α-alumina saturable absorber

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
This work presents a tapered fiber decorated with bulk α-alumina with 4.08% modulation depth and 21.67 MW/cm2 saturation intensity which was responsible to induce noise-like pulse (NLP) in an “eye-safe” wavelength region.

Thulium doped fiber based lasers and amplifiers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In general, the work in this thesis could be divided into two parts, but more work is focused on the first part. Compared with aluminosilicate based Thulium-doped fibers (TDF), germanosilicate based TDFs have a blue-shifted absorption and emission cross-section in the transition from level 3F4 to level 3H6.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Thulium Holmium co-doped tunable fiber laser [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
We report a Tm-Ho co-doped fiber laser with continuous tunability between 1965-2120 nm thanks to a rotating diffraction grating in the laser cavity. It delivers an OSNR of over 60 dB at the central wavelength 2060 nm.

Stable Protein‐Based G‐Quadruplex‐Derived Supramolecular Bioinks as Tunable ECM‐Mimetic Constructs Assembled by Combining Non‐Covalent and Covalent Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Harnessing the synergistic interplay of supramolecular self‐assembly, under macromolecular crowding conditions, and enzymatic‐mediated covalent crosslinking toward a stable protein‐based G‐quadruplex‐derived supramolecular bioink. This bioinspired strategy enables the biofabrication of complex and tunable ECM‐mimetic constructs, providing a platform ...

Laser Operation of Tm: LuAG Single-Crystal Fiber Grown by the Micro-Pulling down Method

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
Single crystals fiber (SCF) of LuAG doped with 2.0 at.% thulium has been grown by using micro-pulling down (µ-PD) technique. A continuous-wave output power of 2.44 W was achieved with a slope efficiency of 11.7% using a 783-nm diode laser as pump source.

Single-Pass Laser Frequency Conversion to 780.2 nm and 852.3 nm Based on PPMgO:LN Bulk Crystals and Diode-Laser-Seeded Fiber Amplifiers

open access: yes, 2019
We report the preparation of a 780.2 nm and 852.3 nm laser device based on single-pass periodically poled magnesium-oxide-doped lithium niobate (PPMgO:LN) bulk crystals and diode-laser-seeded fiber amplifiers.
