Phosphorylation‐Dependent Stabilization of Collaborator of ARF (CARF) Suppresses Lymphoma Cell Proliferation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study revealed that oncogene Collaborator of ARF (CARF) is closely related to B‐cell lymphoma tumorigenesis, and shares a conserved mechanism regulating protein stability with Arabidopsis Kip‐Related Protein6 (KRP6) through casein kinase 1‐mediated phosphorylation. Reduced phosphorylation led to the enhanced protein stability of CARF, resulting in

Automation of Thyroid Function Testing

open access: yesClinics in Laboratory Medicine, 1993
This article discusses the automation of thyroid function testing. The needs for automation are included in the introduction. The issues concerning automation of immunoassay are discussed, including homogeneous or heterogeneous immunoassay, competitive or immunometric assay, reagent stability, data management, sample management, signal detection, and ...

Tumor Extracellular Vesicles Aggravate Mitochondrial Damage in Myocardial Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a novel mechanistic connection between cancer and ischemia/reperfusion (I/R)‐induced cardiac injury. The meta‐analysis demonstrates significantly higher incidence ratios of both all‐cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality in cancer patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) compared to non‐cancer patients.

Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing Reveals the Heterogeneity in Differentiation Trajectory and Tumor Microenvironment Leading to More Aggressive Phenotypes of Papillary Thyroid Cancer in Children and Young Adult Patients

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
scRNA sequencing reveals distinct tumor ecosystem features in CAYA‐PTC, marked by enriched CD4T_Tfh, CD8T_Tex cells, and rapid malignant thyrocyte differentiation (absent of mild‐state BRAF‐like population) toward invasive states. Prominent emCAF_LAMP5 populations interact with endothelial cells and thyrocytes facilitate angiogenesis and metastasis ...

Association of coeliac disease and thyroid disorders [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A case study is presented. This involves a woman who presented with features of hyperthyroidism, which were refractory to conventional therapy. She was eventually diagnosed to have co-existing coeliac disease and eventually improved on a diet excluding ...
