Complications after medullary thyroid carcinoma surgery: multicentre study of the SQRTPA and EUROCRINE® databases

This study investigated postoperative complications after surgery for medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) in Europe. Hypoparathyroidism, recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy and bleeding requiring reoperation occurred in 170 (26·2 per cent), 62 (13·7 per cent) and 17 (2·6 per cent) patients respectively.

Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Abstract Total phospholipids in the thyroid of human females: 214 ± 27.8 μ g lipid phosphorus per g fresh weight were found higher than those in males: 142 ± 12 μ g lipid phosphorus per g fresh weight (mean ± S.E.). The corresponding values in pig thyroid were 333 ± 24.5 for females and 136 ± 12 for males.
