ABSTRACT Background Hypoparathyroidism is a complication associated with significant morbidity and results from inadvertent removal of the parathyroid during thyroid surgery. Therefore, intra‐operative identification of parathyroid tissue is essential to minimize the risk of hypoparathyroidism.

Cytological Alterations of Benign Thyroid Nodules Following Radiofrequency Ablation
This prospective study of 312 patients with benign thyroid nodules treated with radiofrequency ablation showed a 3.84% progression to Bethesda III cytology, all confirmed benign by molecular testing, with an 88% volume reduction at 60 months and no major complications.

Abstract Two dogs were presented to our institution for further investigations of a mass lesion in the cranioventral cervical region. Computed tomography revealed both masses to be in the region of the hyoid apparatus, and partial lysis of the basihyoid bone was noted in both cases.
