PREPARATION OF BIOACTIVE FILM ON Ti6Al4V
Surface Review and Letters, 2009Titanium oxide films were prepared using an anodic oxidation method in sulfuric acid solution on the surface of Ti6Al4V alloy at room temperature. The surface energy was obtained by the measurement of contact angles and the calculation with Owens–Wendt–Kaeble's equation.

Dry sliding wear mechanisms of the Ti6Al4V alloy
Wear, 1997Abstract The dry sliding behaviour of the Ti6Al4V alloy was studied in order to highlight the mechanisms responsible for the poor wear resistance in different load and sliding speed conditions. By increasing the sliding speed, a transition from oxidative wear to delamination occurs with a corresponding minimum in the wear rate.

Abstract Ti6Al4V alloy has been widely used for medical implants due to good mechanical properties. For permanent implant applications Ti6Al4V alloy has shown to have low corrosion and wear resistance. Based on these the development of in-situ Ti6Al4V–TiB wall through laser metal deposition was investigated for possible use in biomedical application.

Prediction of Temperature in Turning Ti6Al4V
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014Due to their special and important properties, titanium and its alloys are attractive materials to be used in the industry. This paper presents 3D simulation cases used in optimization of Ti6Al4V titanium alloy turning. The output parameter is the temperature while the input parameters were the machining ones: cutting speed, feed and depth of cut.

Hydrogenation Behavior of Ti6Al4V Alloy
Rare Metal Materials and Engineering, 2017Abstract The hydrogenation behavior of Ti6Al4V alloy was investigated at different hydrogenation temperatures, holding time and hydrogen pressures. The distribution of hydrogen in titanium alloy was studied by OM. Results show that the hydrogen content of Ti6Al4V alloy is controlled by hydrogenation temperature, hydrogen pressure and holding time ...

Fibre laser welding of Ti6Al4V
PICALO 2008: 3rd Pacific International Conference on Laser Materials Processing, Micro, Nano and Ultrafast Fabrication, 2008Ti6Al4V is widely used in the aerospace industry due to its lightweight and high strength properties. Joining titanium is of prime importance and while other welding techniques have been documented, the use of a fibre laser to weld this material has not been extensively investigated. In this paper, autogenously butt weld joints of thin sheet of Ti6Al4V
