Fabrication of nanocomposite Ti(C,N)-based cermet by spark plasma sintering
Materials Chemistry and Physics, 2005Abstract Several cermets with nano-TiC and TiN additions were prepared by spark plasma sintering (SPS). Their microstructures were studied further by using SEM, TEM, EDX. Hardness (HRA, namely Rockwell Hardness A Scale) and transverse rupture strength (TRS) were also measured.

The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2016Sound joint of Ti(C,N)-based cermets and steel is achieved by liquid phase sintering of cermet green compact and steel, in which external pressure and interlayer metals are not required. The bonding process, joint microstructure, and properties are investigated.
