Mechanochemically Synthesized Transition Metal Carbide Fillers for Coating Metallic Bipolar Plates in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

open access: yesEnergy Technology, EarlyView.
Mechanochemically synthesized Cr3C2 and Mo2C, incorporated in a polyurethane‐based binder matrix, and applied to stainless steel, show the lowest contact resistance. The Cr3C2 coating provides good corrosion performance, while the Mo2C coating is unable to protect the metal from corrosion.

Seizures and electroencephalographic findings in inborn errors of metabolism: Clues to differential diagnosis in the neonatal period, infancy, childhood and adolescence, and review of the literature

open access: yesEpileptic Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Although inborn errors of metabolism (IEM) are a rare cause of epilepsy, seizures are a common presentation in these disorders. Seizures in IEM are frequently refractory to conventional anti‐seizure medication and might warrant initiation of specific treatments based on vitamins or dietary modifications or provision of alternative substrates ...

Metabolomic Profiling of Probiotic Lactobacillus acidophilus Strain LA01 on Bovine Bone Powder Fermentation

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
Probiotic Lactobacillus acidophilus strain LA01 was applied to bone powder fermentation. The adsorbable calcium, small peptides, and compounds with lipid‐lowering and antioxidant properties were greatly enriched. This study provided insights into the metabolism of probiotic fermentation and laid the scientific basis for development of value‐added ...

Postbiotic from Lactobacillus acidophilus Inhibits Ferroptosis in Intestinal Stem Cells via Microbiota–AhR Axis to Mitigate Colitis

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
Lacidophilin tablets alleviate colitis by regulating gut microbiota balance and maintaining intestinal barrier integrity. ABSTRACT Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic, progressive intestinal disorder. Dysbiosis of the gut microbiota is strongly implicated in the onset and progression of IBD.

Clogging Analysis in Drip Irrigation Systems: CFD and DEM Approaches

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Clogging represents a critical challenge that undermines the efficiency and sustainability of drip irrigation systems by inducing uneven water distribution and increasing maintenance requirements. In this study, the phenomenon of clogging in drip emitters was investigated via computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in conjunction with the discrete ...

The association between attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder and narrative language: What is the role of executive function?

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Research suggests that Attention‐Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) may be associated with narrative language (or storytelling) difficulties, and executive functioning is hypothesized to underlie this association. However, the contribution of executive function to the narrative language production of children with ADHD is unclear
