Donor Dilemma: A National Simulation‐Based Case Curriculum for Teaching Donor Call Decision‐Making in Infectious Diseases Trainees

An asynchronous donor‐call case‐based progressive disclosure curriculum was feasible and valued across diverse ID and TID training programs. ID and TID trainees reported improved confidence in their clinical reasoning and ability to evaluate donor‐suitability, supporting this educational approach to address a training gap.

Transplant Infectious Diseases Work Standards—Results From a Mid‐Atlantic Regional Survey

A survey of the Mid‐Atlantic Transplant Infectious Diseases Society (MATIDS) demonstrates variability among work standards and lack of differentiation for TID versus GID requirements. TID physicians have a mean cFTE of 0.7 and 31–35 weeks of inpatient service per year, though with more cFTE buy‐down and fewer weeks in academic programs.
