Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

Pore characteristics of clay minerals in the Qingshankou shale,Songliao Basin, China: unravelling the effects of illitization

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
IntroductionClay minerals are critical components of lacustrine shale systems, where their associated pores govern reservoir properties. The diagenetic transformation of these minerals, particularly illitization, profoundly impacts reservoir quality, yet

Formation condition of deep gas reservoirs in tight sandstones in Kuqa Foreland Basin

open access: yesPetroleum Research, 2018
Due to the high expense of deep oil and gas exploration, prediction of gas-bearing properties before drilling is crucial for deep gas reservoir of tight sandstone. Deep tight sandstone gas fields in Kuqa Foreland Basin are characterized by high abundance,

Unconventional natural gas accumulation system

open access: yesNatural Gas Industry B, 2022
Unlike conventional natural gas accumulations, unconventional ones have obvious particularity in reservoir forming conditions, enrichment mechanism, distribution modes, prediction method, and exploration technology.

Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...
