Tightness-Looseness and Government Innovation Emphasis: Effects on Regional Innovation Outcomes in China

open access: yesJournal of Social Computing
This study examines the interplay between government-level tightness-looseness, cultural tightness, innovation emphasis, and their effects on innovation outcomes in China from 2002 to 2022.

Tight Chiral Polyhedra

open access: yesCombinatorica, 2017
A chiral polyhedron with Schläfli symbol $\{p, q\}$ is called tight if it has $2pq$ flags, which is the minimum possible. In this paper, we fully characterize the Schläfli symbols of tight chiral polyhedra. We also provide presentations for the automorphism groups of several families of tight chiral polyhedra.

Unique circulating miRNAome signatures captured with distinct molecular states in Lynch syndrome and sporadic colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNA profiles distinguish nonmalignant Lynch syndrome from cancer‐associated Lynch syndrome, sporadic colorectal cancer, and healthy controls. Age‐stratified analysis reveals disease‐specific regulatory states, and a six‐miRNA panel shows concordant separation in an independent colorectal tissue cohort.

Tightness of pairs of tight càdlàg processes

open access: yesStochastic Processes and their Applications, 1985
A general theorem on necessary and sufficient conditions for the tightness of a sequence of cadlag processes is obtained. This theorem is used to derive necessary and sufficient conditions for the tightness in \({\mathcal D}([0,\infty), E_ 1\times E_ 2)\) of a sequence of pairs of cadlag processes which are individually tight in \({\mathcal D}([0 ...

SPHINX31 acts as a SRPK1 inhibitor targeting the ATR/DNA‐PKcs/CHK1 replicative checkpoint to inhibit cell growth in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The kinase SRPK1 directly interacts with the protein TOPBP1 and regulates the pre‐mRNA splicing of WIZ thereby contributing to the activation of the ATR/CHK1 replicative checkpoint in response to replicative stress. This allows cancer cells' genomic stability and survival.

A note on tightness

open access: yes
This note describes an extension of Billingsley's classical tightness criterion for sequences of càdlàg processes on [0, 1]. Applications of the new criterion to the convergence of Gaussian and other processes in D[0, 1] are provided.Cadlag processes ...

Targeting the EpCAM‐AXL axis to overcome drug resistance in lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Lung cancer cells often evade therapy by hijacking signaling pathways. We reveal that cleaved EpCAM (sEpCAM) stabilizes the oncogenic protein AXL, driving NF‐κB and STAT3‐mediated chemoresistance. This EpCAM‐AXL axis identifies a high‐risk patient subset with poor prognosis.

Grading medial compartment tightness among varus osteoarthritic knees during image-free robot-assisted total knee arthroplasty for optimized pre-resection gap balancing

open access: yesBone & Joint Open
Aims: Robot-assisted total knee arthroplasty (RA-TKA) allows for calibrated pre-resection gap balancing (PRGB). Complete PRGB is considered inappropriate as some gap tightness resolves spontaneously during surgery.

Tumour‐proximal deep serum proteomics identifies biomarkers associated with ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
New biomarkers are needed for early ovarian cancer detection. Ovarian (tumour‐proximal) and peripheral vein serum from healthy women and patients with benign or malignant tumours underwent nanoparticle‐enriched deep proteomics. Ovarian serum yielded more protein identifications and revealed tumour‐reflective signatures.
