Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

The purpose of the packers is determined by the specific technological tasks. The design of the packer and the principle of bringing it into action shall provide protection from premature wear during the tripping process.

Relevance. Underground gas storage is a type of geohydrodynamic systems that require constant control and monitoring of ongoing processes in an underground reservoir and well, since the formation of an artificial gas deposit in depleted hydrocarbon ...

On some fan-tightness type properties [PDF]
summary:Properties similar to countable fan-tightness are introduced and compared to countable tightness and countable fan-tightness. These properties are also investigated with respect to function spaces and certain classes of continuous ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Tightness and resolvability [PDF]
summary:We prove resolvability and maximal resolvability of topological spaces having countable tightness with some additional properties. For this purpose, we introduce some new versions of countable tightness.

Remarks on Countable Tightness
Countable tightness may be destroyed by countably closed forcing. We characterize the indestructibility of countable tightness under countably closed forcing by combinatorial statements similar to the ones Tall used to characterize indestructibility of ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
