The SIR Model in a Moving Population: Propagation of Infection and Herd Immunity

ABSTRACT In a collection of particles performing independent random walks on Zd$\mathbb {Z}^d$ we study the spread of an infection with SIR dynamics. Susceptible particles become infected when they meet an infected particle. Infected particles heal and are removed at rate ν$\nu$.

Westminster' tiles - named after Westminster Abbey where they were first recognised - are among the most common types of medieval floor tiles found in London. At least some of these tiles were made at a kiln site in Farrington Road.

Expression of mutant TIE2 p.L914F during mouse development causes embryonic lethality and defects in vascular remodeling

Abstract Background Sporadic venous malformation (VM) is associated with the hyperactivating p.L914F mutation in TIE2, a receptor tyrosine kinase essential for vascular development. This mutation is not found in hereditary VM, suggesting incompatibility with life when expressed during early vascular development.
