Reconfigurable Inflatables Through Controlled Surface Crumpling
ABSTRACT Inflatable structures offer remarkable versatility due to their compact storage and rapid deployment, making them ideal for lightweight, quickly assembled, and deployable applications. These structures are typically made from membranes that are nearly inextensible yet highly flexible.

Trace splittings in C*-algebras of tiling systems via colourings [PDF]
Tiles of a hierarchical tiling system are coloured with given colours. The resulting system implements colour symmetries and prescribed frequencies and is itself a hierarchical system whose prototile types admit an elegant description. The frequencies of

Substitution tilings with transcendental inflation factor
Substitution tilings with transcendental inflation factor, Discrete Analysis 2024:11, 24 pp. Symbolic dynamics is the study of topological dynamical systems $(X,T)$, called *subshifts*, where $T\colon X\to X$ is the shift transformation acting on a ...

A layered bead‐network wallpaper is designed to modulate the light propagation path, overcoming the color residue limitations of thermochromic components for efficient automatic switching between radiative cooling and solar heating modes. The layered bead‐network wallpaper provides passive, all‐season thermal regulation while offering self‐cleaning and

This study establishes a CT‐based radiomics framework to quantify intratumoral heterogeneity (ITH) in HNSCC. Using unsupervised clustering, tumor ROIs and VOIs are analyzed to calculate 2D/3D ITH scores. The score shows strong predictive value for prognosis and immunotherapy response, and is associated with tumor metabolism and immune microenvironment,

Sub‐Terahertz Memristor Switches Using MoS2 by Liquid–Liquid Interface Assembly
This work introduces application‐ready sub‐terahertz memristor switches fabricated from electrochemically exfoliated MoS2 nanosheets assembled at a liquid–liquid interface. The devices exhibit robust unipolar resistive switching, low insertion loss, and high isolation across 10–110 GHz.

Quotient cohomology of certain 1- and 2-dimensional substitution tiling spaces [PDF]
The quotient cohomology of tiling spaces is a topological invariant that relates a tiling space to one of its factors, viewed as topological dynamical systems. In particular, it is a relative version of the tiling cohomology that distinguishes factors of

Current genome‐reduction methods work in a trial‐and‐error fashion, constituting a long‐standing bottleneck in the research. We developed CREAT (CRISPR‐based genome trimming with a multi‐homology‐arm template), a CRISPR‐based genetic approach that enables systematically classifying essential versus non‐essential genomic regions and subsequently ...
