Enhancing Biogenic Formic Acid Production in the Modified OxFA Process by Acetonitrile Addition
In this study, the beneficial effect of using acetonitrile as a co‐solvent in the modified OxFA process is shown, outperforming methanol, demonstrating improved reaction kinetics combined with high selectivity for the HPA‐2 (H5PV2Mo10O40) catalyzed oxidation of xylose to FA.

Enhanced Stability in Zero‐Excess Li‐Metal Batteries via Prelithiated Carbon Nanofiber Interlayers
Carbon nanofibers carbonized at 700°C show Li metal deposition predominantly on the side facing the Cu current collector. During delithiation, Li agglomerates remain as inactive lithium on the fiber surface. This behavior can be changed by a modified n‐Buli prelithiation without a washing step, suppressing dead Li formation and therefore enabling ...

NLSS3 Impairs SHM1 Autophagic Degradation to Regulate Leaf Morphology and Salt Tolerance in Rice
In rice, NLSS3 binds and shields SHM1 from autophagic degradation to maintain serine homeostasis. The A132P mutation in nlss3 disrupts this, triggering SHM1 loss, metabolic dysfunction, K+ imbalance, and impaired ROS scavenging, which collectively drive narrow leaves and salt sensitivity.

Remission and recognition - the two Rs of mentoring: listening to the mentors of trainee teachers
The task of mentoring trainee teachers in the Lifelong Learning Sector (LLS) has long been an informal process. With the introduction of the 2007 teaching reforms (DfES, 2007) mentoring has assumed a new importance.

Engineered Optogenetic Circuits In Yeast with Self‐Sustained Outputs
Optogenetic quorum‐sensing (OptoQS) circuit enables Saccharomyces cerevisiae to record transient light stimulus with self‐sustained outputs. Panel a indicates the design of the OptoQS circuit based on G‐protein coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling cascade. Panel b indicates the mode of action of surrogate messenger‐mediated signal transmission at the cell

Deployment Strategy for Indoor Distributed MIMO System
The physical placement of antennas is a design factor for Distributed Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (D-MIMO) systems, but finding the optimal layout is a computationally intensive, non-convex problem.

Full androgen deprivation (FAD) induces paracrine cholesterol in prostate cancer that drives the polarization of cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and subsequent elevated matrix stiffness. Matrix stiffness in turn potentiates tumor cell survival under FAD pressure via dual mechanotransductive activation of the IRE1α‐XBP1s stress‐response axis ...
