This study used a camera‐equipped GPS collar on a male Andean bear in southeastern Peru, revealing rare behaviors like courtship, novel diets, and geophagy. These findings from the Kosñipata Valley provide valuable insights into the poorly understood ecology of Andean bears and suggest many areas for further research.

Photosystem rearrangements, photosynthetic efficiency, and plant growth in far red‐enriched light
SUMMARY Arabidopsis plants were grown in white light (400–700 nm) or in white light supplemented with far‐red (FR) light peaking at 730 nm. FR‐enriched light induced the typical shade avoidance syndrome characterized by enhanced length of seedling hypocotyl and leaf petiole.

Elevational and Seasonal Patterns of Plant–Hummingbird Interactions in a High Tropical Mountain
This study examined the patterns and potential drivers of diversity and spatiotemporal dynamics of plant–hummingbird interactions across Mexico's high tropical elevational gradient. Results revealed the importance of species turnover, interaction rewiring, and phenological overlap in network structuring, with smaller roles of abundance, morphology, and

Due to remarkable architectural design featuring rosette‐like leaf arrangements, bromeliads serve as habitats for various species. Bromeliad architecture is a key factor in the spatial distribution and occurrence of the Tityus neglectus scorpion. Furthermore, T.

Abstract Premise Previous studies have suggested a trade‐off between trichome density (Dt) and stomatal density (Ds) due to shared cell precursors. We clarified how, when, and why this developmental trade‐off may be overcome across species. Methods We derived equations to determine the developmental basis for Dt and Ds in trichome and stomatal indices (

Abstract It was found that Argentatins A and B triterpenoids make up approximately 20–30 % of the waste resin produced from the industrial processes to isolate rubber from P. argentatum. We have developed an efficient protocol for synthesizing cycloartane‐16β‐ol derivatives by opening the oxepane ring of argentatin B acetate (2) with BF3‐OEt2. Although
