Small-angle attraction in the tilt illusion [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Vision, 2022
The tilt illusion (TI) describes the phenomenon in which a surround inducer grating of a particular orientation influences the perceived orientation of a central test grating. Typically, inducer-test orientation differences of 5 to 40 degrees cause the test orientation to appear shifted away from the inducer orientation (i.e. repulsion).

Tilt Angle Optimization of Photovoltaic Panels [PDF]

open access: yes2019 6th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT), 2019
The solar PV power sector in Spain has been developing at a spectacular rate in recent years. The energy cost and the dependence on fossil fuels can be reduced by improving the efficiency of photovoltaic energy production. The performance of a solar radiation conversion system is affected by a tilt angle with the horizontal plane.

Optimum Tilt Angle at Tropical Region [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Renewable Energy Development, 2015
: One of the important parameters that affect the performance of a solar collector is its tilt angle with the horizon. This is because of the variation of tilt angle changes the amount of solar radiation reaching the collector surface.

Tilt effects in optical angle measurements

open access: yesJournal of Research of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, 1993
Vector analysis is used to determine the quantitative error in angle calibration using autoeollimators. This error is caused by tilt in the mount upon which the artifact is placed. For tilt angles that are less than 1°, the error can be simplified to be the product of a eoeffieient and three terms.

Tilt Angle of Wood Dust

open access: yesAnnals of WULS, Forestry and Wood Technology, 2023
Tilt Angle of Wood Dust. The aim of this article is to point out a risk factor – wood dust, which settles on various structures, inclined surfaces in operation and, if not regularly cleaned, it is a source of secondary dust, because it is swirled up again with any movement.

Study on Optimal Laminographic Tilt Angle: A Method for Analyzing Quantity Information Gained in Projections

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In laminography imaging, the laminographic tilt angle is an important factor that affects the reconstruction result. However, the optimal tilt angle was mainly estimated from experience in the current research. In this article, an estimation approach for

Determining Optimum Tilt Angle for 1 MW Photovoltaic System at Sukkur, Pakistan

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2021
Solar energy is directly converted into electrical energy by using photovoltaic (PV) panels. The efficiency of PV panel varies with its orientation and tilt angle with the horizontal plane.

Re-examining sunspot tilt angle to include anti-Hale statistics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Sunspot groups and bipolar magnetic regions (BMRs) serve as an observational diagnostic of the solar cycle. We use Debrecen Photohelographic Data (DPD) from 1974-2014 that determined sunspot tilt angles from daily white light observations, and data ...
