Capsular Bag Performance of a Novel Hydrophobic Single-Piece Intraocular Lens
Introduction We conducted an evaluation of capsular bag performance of the Clareon CNA0T0 intraocular lens (IOL), focusing on postoperative anterior chamber depth (ACD), IOL tilt, and IOL decentration.

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.

Effects of capsulorhexis size and position on post-surgical IOL alignment
In cataract surgery, post-surgical stability of the intraocular lens plays a major role. This study aims to explore how the size and decentration of the capsulorhexis affect intraocular lens decentration and tilt by using numerical methods.

Correlation between Iliac Tilt and traditional sagittal parameters in adolescents
Objective This study aims to systematically validate the reliability and applicability of Iliac Tilt (IT) as a parameter for sagittal balance assessment, explore its relationship with traditional parameters such as Pelvic Tilt (PT) and Pubic-Sacral Angle

A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Simulation of tillage forces and soil movement during soil-disc plow interaction using FEM
Tillage forces and the disturbance of the soil are important performance indicators and soil dynamic properties for disc plow. In this work, a 3D model of FEM was developed to predict the effects of speed, the depth, disc angle (DA), and tilt angle (TA),

Microstructure Evolution of a VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy After Synthesis, Swaging, and Annealing
The synthesis and processing (rotary swaging and annealing) of the novel VMnFeCoNi alloy is investigated, alongside the estimation of the grain size effect on hardness. Analysis of a wide grain size range of recrystallized microstructures (12–210 µm) reveals a low annealing twin density.
