We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Frequency-and-Time Division Multiplexed Brillouin Optical Time-Domain Reflectometry
Brillouin optical time-domain reflectometry (BOTDR) is a key technique for distributed fiber sensing of strain and temperature, but performance is constrained by the inherently weak spontaneous Brillouin signal.

In this paper, we investigate the connectedness between natural gas and BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa)’s exchange rate in terms of time and frequency. This empirical work is based on the approach of connectedness proposed by

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Research on Pilot Workload Identification Based on EEG Time Domain and Frequency Domain
Pilot workload is a critical factor influencing flight safety. This study collects both subjective and objective data on pilot workload using the NASA-TLX questionnaire and electroencephalogram acquisition systems during simulated flight tasks.
