Fuzzy Time-Delay System

2017
Almost all the physical systems and processes in the real world are nonlinear [1] in nature, so over the years a considerable attention has been paid to the investigation of the dynamic behaviour of nonlinear systems. Development of nonlinear control technique has serious demerits of difficult analytical framework, computational issues and specific ...

Deterministic Time Delay Systems

2002
It is clear from the examples given previously that the the investigation of the class of dynamical time delay systems is of great importance in dealing with the world economy. It is why much attention has been paid to this class of systems by many researchers from different communities.

Time delays in metabolic control systems

Biosystems, 1988
In this work we use mathematical models with discrete and distributed time delays to analyse the stability of metabolic pathways controlled by end product. We assume the kinetics of the intermediates of the path to be unknown, and we cover the lack of information by using a time delay.

Disturbance Decoupling of Time Delay Systems

Asian Journal of Control, 2015
AbstractA necessary and sufficient condition is derived for the solvability of the disturbance decoupling problem by a pure shift dynamic compensator. It corrects previously obtained results for multi‐input multi‐output (MIMO) systems. Also, necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the solvability of the problem by a dynamic compensator for ...

Input Modeling in Time-Delayed Systems

Computational Mathematics and Modeling, 2001
An essentially heuristic approach is proposed for the design of a controller of a plant responding with an appreciable but not a dominating delay (in the sense described by Minorsky). The usefulness and the practical efficiency of that approach can be judged fairly at present only by a practitioner of the corresponding engineering speciality.

Stabilization of Neutral Time-Delay Systems

2009
This paper addresses the stabilization problem for neutral time-delay systems. Starting from a transfer approach, we develop a general algebraic framework for the study of the stabilization. The stability considered in this paper is the exponential one.

Discrete-Time Delay Systems

2014
In this chapter, we consider stability, performance analysis, and control of linear (probably, uncertain) discrete-time systems. Some of the presented ideas may also be useful in the nonlinear case. Differently from continuous-time TDSs, the discrete-time ones can be reduced to non-delay systems by state/input/output augmentation.

Nonlinear Time-Delay Systems

2016
In this chapter, the basic theory of nonlinear time-delay dynamical systems will be introduced. Local theory and bifurcation theory for nonlinear time-delay dynamical systems will be discussed. The stability switching and bifurcation on specific eigenvectors of the linearized, time-delayed system at equilibrium will be discussed.
