Stellar X-Ray Variability and Planetary Evolution in the DS Tucanae System
We present an analysis of four Chandra observations of the 45 Myr old DS Tuc binary system. We observed X-ray variability of both stars on timescales from hours to months, including two strong X-ray flares from star A.

Ultrafast Transitions in X‐Ray Irradiated Solids
ABSTRACT In this review, we present current developments on modeling ultrafast transitions in solids triggered by intense, atto‐ to femtosecond pulses from X‐ray free electron lasers. This specific irradiation regime requires dedicated simulation tools based on theoretical and computational methods, involving the elements of classical and quantum ...

A novel synthesis method of single‐crystalline LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 (NCA) is introduced, involving the stripping of grain boundaries from polycrystalline NCA (PC‐NCA) during Mo/Nb co‐doping. Mo doping near the grain surface significantly reduces parasitic interface reactions and inhibits the excessive growth of CEI films, while Nb doping within the ...

Quantum Machine Learning for Identifying Transient Events in X-Ray Light Curves
We investigate whether a novel method of quantum machine learning can identify anomalous events in X-ray light curves as transient events and apply it to detect such events from the XMM-Newton 4XMM-DR14 catalog.

Sunshine Duration in Brazil From Meteosat (1983–2020): Climatology, Variability and Long‐Term Trends
Using nearly four decades of Meteosat satellite data (1983–2020), this study presents a country‐wide climatology of sunshine duration (SDU) in Brazil. The results reveal marked regional contrasts, dominant modes of variability, and significant long‐term trends, providing new information on the most relevant meteorological systems that influence SDU and

Weather Patterns Associated With Coastal Disasters in Santa Catarina, Southern Brazil
The study identified weather patterns (WPs) associated with coastal disasters between 1998 and 2020 along the Santa Catarina coast, Brazil. Using atmospheric and oceanographic data combined with official disaster records, five WPs were defined, mainly associated with cyclonic and anticyclonic systems linked to extreme wave events.
