Aqueous alteration in C2‐ung Bells through the analysis of carbonates – Does a CR origin ring true?

Abstract Bells is an ungrouped carbonaceous chondrite that has in recent years been proposed as a CR‐an. This link to CR chondrites has previously been identified through the analysis of anhydrous silicates, for example, oxygen isotopic compositions of olivine (Marrocchi et al., 2023).

Geophysical investigation of the Santa Marta impact structure—Piauí State, Brazil

Abstract The Santa Marta impact structure in northeastern Brazil, recognized as a partially preserved complex crater, was investigated through an integrated geophysical study employing magnetotelluric (MT) and gravity methods. Our research provides constraints on the crater's subsurface architecture.

An Escherichia coli Phosphotransferase System Modulates Methylglyoxal Resistance by Regulating Intracellular Potassium

Escherichia coli can survive methylglyoxal stress by modulating phosphorylation of a regulatory phosphotransferase system, which, in turn, regulates the activity of a potassium/proton antiporter. The constitutive potassium importer Trk also contributes to intracellular potassium levels.
