Time-of-arrival photoelectron correlator

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1987
A photoelectron correlator based on the measurement of the joint probability distribution function in the arrival times of eight stop pulses following a single start pulse is described. This correlator has a measurement interval of 5 μs and delay time resolution of 2.5 ns.

Time of Arrival Operator

Canadian Journal of Physics, 1971
The problem of finding proper quantal operators for the time of arrival, when the source is at infinite distance from the detector, is investigated. It is shown that at least two Hermitian operators can be constructed which, in the Hilbert space of positive energy spectrum, are self-adjoint.

Intelligent time of arrival estimation

2011 IEEE Forum on Integrated and Sustainable Transportation Systems, 2011
Traditional time-of-arrival estimation techniques are often used in advanced transportation systems such as in-car navigation systems and fleet management systems. These techniques tend to neglect certain categories of context when estimating a vehicle's time-of-arrival at a given destination. Particularly important categories of such neglected context

Time-of-arrival estimation for blind beamforming

2013 18th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing (DSP), 2013
Ad-hoc arrays formed by mobile devices are increasingly available to capture audio and video in social events. Using spatial signal processing algorithms, e.g., beamforming, with microphone signals of such arrays is hindered by the unknown locations of the devices and the lack of temporal synchronization between them. While self-calibration methods can

A comparison of prehospital estimated time of arrival and actual time of arrival to an emergency department

The American Journal of Emergency Medicine, 1990
The accuracy of the paramedic's estimated time until arrival (ETA) to an emergency department has never been studied. Two hundred and eighty paramedic runs were prospectively studied in a suburban, residency-affiliated emergency department. The average ETA was 7.39 +/- 3.72 minutes.

Time of Arrival in Quantum Mechanics

Annals of Physics, 1995
Abstract An expression for the quantum time of arrival based on the current density is discussed and justified operationally by means of complex potentials that absorb the incoming wave in a finite distance without reflection or transmission. Previous arguments denying the possibility of defining the time of arrival in quantum mechanics are refuted.

Time-of-Arrival Measurements

2018
For a radiolocation system the position of an object is determined using some characteristic of the radio frequency signal. These characteristics could include the signal strength, the signal phase (for angle of arrival measurements) or the propagation time-of-flight (TOF) from the transmitter to the receive.

Time-of-arrival digital photon correlator

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1988
Design and fabrication of the R 6501 microprocessor-based photon correlator, equally applicable to Gaussian as well as non-Gaussian radiation, is described. It works on the principle of directly registering the arrival times of photoelectrons.

Quantum time of arrival Goursat problem

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 2012
The construction of quantum time of arrival operator conjugate to the system Hamiltonian leads to a particular linear homogeneous Goursat problem. In this work, we demonstrate how to approximate the solution of the mentioned differential equation both semi-analytically and numerically with the goal of calculating the largest eigenvalue of the ...
