Visualizing a Li‐Depleted Amorphous Cathode–Electrolyte Interphase in Sulfide Solid‐State Batteries Using In Situ Cryogenic Electron Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In situ cryogenic STEM‐EELS and electron diffraction directly visualize Li depletion and structural degradation at the NCM523/Li6PS5Cl interface during charging. The results reveal a Li‐depleted amorphous interphase that impedes Li transport, while LiNbOy coating suppresses interfacial degradation and preserves the solid‐electrolyte structure ...

Electron‐Beam Enables Spatially Resolved Defect‐Mediated Work Function Modulation in FAPbI3 Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electron‐beam irradiation enables defect‐mediated work function modulation in metal halide perovskites by regulating interstitial iodides. This approach allows continuous Fermi‐level tuning and spatially resolved formation of lateral surface‐potential‐defined junctions with built‐in potential.

Sn‐Driven Grain Boundary Elimination for Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Rich Cathodes with Superior High‐Voltage Stability in Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A low‐temperature synthesis method of single‐crystalline NCA was successfully achieved by Sn doping, employing the same synthetic conditions as its polycrystalline counterparts. This synthesis was conducted at a temperature that was 150 °C lower than that required for synthesizing single‐crystalline NCA without Sn doping.

Controlling Self‐Doping in Conjugated Polyelectrolyte Copolymers to Vary the Threshold Voltage in OECTs

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Two series of self‐doped conjugated polyelectrolytes are synthesized from a non‐self‐dopable building block 3MEEET and a self‐dopable building‐block 3HOT−[TMA+] or 3HOT−[SO3H] enabling precise control over the degree of self‐doping, which in turn directly governs the threshold voltage (VT) in OECTs over a wide range of 700 mV.

Anion‐Cation Synergistic Passivation for High‐Performance FA‐Cs Halide Perovskite Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
An anion‐cation synergistic passivation strategy is developed to improve perovskite photodetectors. Surface‐localized DMePDA2+ cations and bulk‐diffused Cl− anions simultaneously reduce defects, enhancing charge transport and suppressing recombination.

Oxygen‐Scavenging‐Driven Interlayer Engineering for Balancing Linearity and Retention in IGZO Synaptic Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐scavenging‐induced self‐formed interlayers regulate Schottky‐barrier modulation in IGZO memristors, producing a fundamental trade‐off between synaptic update linearity and retention. A preserved AlOx interlayer moderates voltage distribution and enables gradual, nearly linear conductance updates, whereas a soft‐broken SiO2 interlayer provides a ...
