Time-resolved photoluminescence studies of biexcitons in InP

Physical Review B, 1993
The low-temperature (5 K), steady-state photoluminescence spectra of a high-quality InP sample grown by chemical-beam epitaxy, reveal a new emission band at high excitation intensities. This emission is characterized by a superlinear intensity dependence on excitation density, a lifetime shorter than that of the polariton, and an energy between those ...

Time-resolved optical-pumping study of hydrogen discharges

Physical Review A, 1986
A new technique is described which utilizes optical pumping in a time-resolved mode to study atomic hydrogen produced by a discharge. Initial measurements provide information about the equlibrium atomic-hydrogen density, its temporal evolution, and the diffusion coefficient for hydrogen atoms in molecular hydrogen.

Time-Resolved FTIR Studies on Bacteriorhodopsin

1992
By two different time-resolved FTIR techniques the light driven proton pump bacteriorhodopsin is investigated: i) the rapid scan technique yielding a few ms time-resolution [1] ii) the stroboscope technique yielding a few μs time-resolution [2];

Time-resolved studies of excitonic polaritons

Journal of Luminescence, 1991
Abstract The kinetic properties of the secondary emission of excitonic polaritons are reviewed, based on experiments on molecular (anthracene) and semiconductor (CdS, GaAs, InP, etc.) crystals at low temperatures. First, coherent propagation effects are considered, including group velocity renormalization, the appearance of optical precursors and ...

Time-Resolved Studies of Energy Transfer

1984
The dynamics involved in the transfer of excitation energy among impurity ions in solids is directly reflected in the time dependence of the energy transfer rate. In this lecture experimental techniques are discussed which allow the determination of this time dependence.

Time-resolved fluorescence studies on flavins.

1989
Flavins are ubiquitous in nature. They mediate in electron transfer and oxidation reactions in both bacterial, mammalian and plant systems (for a review see Muller, 1983). The natural cofactors are flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) and flavin mononucleotide (FMN), which occur in protein-bound form (Figure 1).
