Stability Analysis of Linear Time-Varying Delay Systems via a Novel Augmented Variable Approach

open access: yesMathematics
This paper investigates the stability issues of time-varying delay systems. Firstly, a novel augmented Lyapunov functional is constructed for a class of bounded time-varying delays by introducing new double integral terms.

Cucker–Smale model, time-varying topological structures, time delay, flocking, persistence of excitation

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Control, 2022
In this paper, we consider a class of fractional partial differential equations with damping term subject to Robin and Dirichlet boundary value conditions.

On the asymptotic behavior of highly nonlinear hybrid stochastic delay differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, under a local Lipschitz condition and a monotonicity condition, the problems on the existence and uniqueness theorem as well as the almost surely asymptotic behavior for the global solution of highly nonlinear stochastic differential ...

Sub-femtosecond determination of transmission delay times for a dielectric mirror (photonic bandgap) as a function of angle of incidence [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Using a two-photon interference technique, we measure the delay for single-photon wavepackets to be transmitted through a multilayer dielectric mirror, which functions as a ``photonic bandgap'' medium.

Delay‐dependent asymptotic stability for neural networks with time‐varying delays [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2006
We study the dynamical behavior of a class of neural network models with time‐varying delays. By constructing suitable Lyapunov functionals, we obtain sufficient delay‐dependent criteria to ensure local and global asymptotic stability of the equilibrium of the neural network.

An improved stability criterion for linear time-varying delay systems

open access: yesAutomatika, 2020
This paper considers the stability problem of linear systems with time-varying delays. A modified Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) is constructed, which consists of delay-dependent matrices and double integral items under two time-varying ...

Positive Neural Networks in Discrete Time Implement Monotone-Regular Behaviors

open access: yes, 2015
We study the expressive power of positive neural networks. The model uses positive connection weights and multiple input neurons. Different behaviors can be expressed by varying the connection weights.

Piezoelectric beam with magnetic effect, time-varying delay and time-varying weights

open access: yes, 2021
The main result of this work is to obtain the exponential decay of the solutions of a piezoelectric beam model with magnetic effect and delay term. The dampings are inserted into the equation of longitudinal displacement. The terms of damping, whose weight associated with them varies over time, are of the friction type, and one of them has delay.

Potential Early Risk Biomarkers for Reduced Forced Expiratory Volume in Children Post‐Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.
