Robustness of Time-Varying Systems [PDF]
Abstract The dynamics of many mechanical systems can be described, or approximated by smooth vector fields in d-dimensional space Rd. External and internal excitations as well as modeling uncertainties are incorporated in the vector fields as families of (time-varying) functions, possibly with their own dynamics.

Section 1 provides a theory of reachability, observability, minimal realization and duality for time-varying linear systems, using only the basic language of linear algebra. Section 2 uses category theory to show that time-varying dynamics for adjoint processes in a category $\mathcal{K}$ may be defined as ad joint processes in a suitable new category $

IDENTIFICATION OF TIME-VARYING FUZZY SYSTEMS
International Journal of General Systems, 1996This paper discusses the identification of time-varying fuzzy systems. A square-root type recursive algorithm with variable forgetting factor is presented to estimate the parameters of systems. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the performance of the identification algorithm.

REALIZATION ALGORITHM FOR TIME-VARYING SYSTEMS
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1987Abstract This paper considers the problem of modelling discrete-time multivariable time-varying systems applying the results of stochastic realization theory for real data. A method is given for determining Eee T /of the error process e(t) of Kalman filter/by the output covariance function in an explicite way.

Prediction for time-varying SVD systems
2004 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (IEEE Cat. No.04TH8754), 2005The performance of a system using singular value decomposition (SVD) over a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel is dependent on the accuracy of the channel state information (CSI) at both the transmitter and receiver. In time division duplex (TDD) systems the reciprocal nature of a channel means that the CSI obtained during the uplink can be ...

We study stabilization problems for a broad class of time varying linear systems that have constant input delays. Our reduction model method allows arbitrarily long delays, and it establishes input-to-state stability with respect to additive uncertainties.

Realisation of linear time-varying systems
International Journal of Control, 2016ABSTRACTIn this paper, the realisation problem of linear multi-input multi-output, time-varying systems is studied. The approach, based on the theory of non-commutative polynomial rings, yields explicit and simple formulas for computation of the state coordinates as well as for state equations in observable canonical form.
