Wide dynamic range 500 fA sensitivity current measurement instrument

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Main technical features of Low Energy Charged Particle Sensor (LECPS) are described, taking into account LECPS high sensitivity, wide dynamic range, and conditions of in-flight operation on-board a satellite.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Spatiotemporal coherence of non-equilibrium multimode photon condensates

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
We report on the observation of quantum coherence of Bose–Einstein condensed photons in an optically pumped, dye-filled microcavity. We find that coherence is long-range in space and time above condensation threshold, but short-range below threshold ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

A simple graphical technique for conditional long range forecasting of below-average rainfall periods in the Tuvalu Islands, Western Pacific

open access: yes, 2009
For the Tuvalu Island group in the western Pacific, a simple graphical method is proposed as a means of forecasting whether rainfall totals for the next 1, 2,…,6 months will be below average.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Response Time Studies for Precipitate-Based Ion-Selective Electrodes in the Range of the Lower Detection Limit

open access: yes, 1982
With the aim of obtaining kinetic information, the dynamic behavior of precipitate-based Ion-selective electrodes has been studied with the so-called activity-step method In a wide activity range.

True-Time-Delay Unit Cell for Ultra-Wideband Single- and Wideband Dual-Polarized Large Reflectarrays

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper presents the design and experimental validation of novel ultra-wideband true-time-delay (TTD) reflectarray unit cells for large-scale antenna applications. Two configurations are proposed: a single-polarized unit cell and a dual-polarized unit

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Hemoglobin stability impact on healthcare resource utilization and costs among dialysis-dependent patients with anemia of end-stage kidney disease

open access: yesBMC Nephrology
Background The impact of hemoglobin stability on healthcare resource utilization (HCRU) and costs in dialysis-dependent patients with anemia of end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) was evaluated. Methods This retrospective, observational study used Optum’s de-
