Time-Dependent Nanoindentation
2004In general, materials can resist deformation in a solid-like or viscous-like manner. Solid-like materials store energy under deformation, and upon removal of stress, returns to its original state. Viscous materials dissipate energy during deformation and upon removal of stress, remains in its deformed state.

EQUIVALENCE OF TIME-DEPENDENT SCHRÖDINGER EQUATIONS WITH CONSTANT AND TIME-DEPENDENT MASS
Modern Physics Letters A, 2003We show that the time-dependent Schrödinger equation (TDSE) for a potential of the form V(x,t)=A(t)x2+B(t)x+C(t) and time-dependent mass can be transformed into the same TDSE with constant mass. We obtain an explicit formula relating solutions of the TDSE for time-dependent mass and for constant mass to each other.

Time-Dependent Deformation: Creep
2012Creep is time-dependent deformation under constant stress. It may occur at relatively moderate temperatures. Most ceramics are intended for use at high temperatures, where they are ductile and creep deformation might occur. For ceramics with low-temperature ductility, creep may occur at ~0.5 Tm or even at lower temperatures.

We start in Sect. 4.1 with the specific storage coefficient and the specific yield, which occur in terms with a time derivative. Next, we deal with flow caused by time-dependent driving mechanisms like recharge and varying pumping well rates. In such cases, we can determine a series of time-dependent parameter estimates, from which the mean value and ...
