The Animation Loop Station: Near Real-Time Animation Production
Part 12: DemonstrationsInternational audienceWe present the animation loop station, a near real-time animation production system. It brings the concept of loop stations or loopers commonly used for live music performances to the animation domain.

Computer animation of time domain problems: the key to understanding
Proceedings Frontiers in Education Conference, 2003The authors discuss the philosophy and applications of computer-graphic animation of time domain problems with emphasis on electromagnetic problems involving Maxwell equations. Topics covered include the representation of both scalar and vector information as well as a brief summary of animation techniques.

3-D time domain BEM analysis with animated graphics
Advances in Engineering Software, 1994Abstract The intense computational requirements of a time domain solution of 3-D elastodynamic problems based on the boundary element method (BEM) have limited its implementation to main frame computers. In this work a simplified 3-D direct time domain BEM is described along with a 3-D interactive animated graphics code custom made to accompany the ...

THz time-domain spectroscopy on plant oils and animal fats
SPIE Proceedings, 2005Terahertz (THz) radiation, generated by ultra short laser pulses, occupies a broad band on electromagnetic spectrum chart. This radiation band belongs to far-infrared. It is a new research field of studying THz radiation interacting with materials especially with biomaterials.

THz spectral properties of several of fresh animal tissues are investigated based on the time domain system. Terahertz pulse transmission spectra of different animal tissues slices with different thickness are obtained, and the refractive index, the absorption coefficient, and the extinction coefficient of these tissues are analyzed and discussed ...

Studying human and animal skin optical properties by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics, 2016Human and rat skin reflection spectra and the effect of glucose and glycerol on these spectra are studied in vivo by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy in the frequency range of 0.1–2.0 THz. Variations in skin optical properties proved to correlate with changes in the blood glucose level.

Far-infrared signature of animal tissues characterized by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy
Optics Communications, 2006We present terahertz time-domain spectroscopy characterization of various animal tissues obtained from pork and rats. As the sensitivity of terahertz radiation to polar molecules of water is very high, biological tissues with high level of hydration show strong absorption at terahertz frequencies.

A quantitative time-domain optical imager for small animals in vivo fluorescence studies
Biomedical Topical Meeting, 2004ART as developed a time-domain optical molecular imager that recovers size, position and concentration of fluorescent inclusions embedded in turbid media within 15-30% accuracy. Fluorescent lifetime also gives the capability to discriminate different fluorescent sources.

Time-domain fluorescence diffuse optical tomography for living animals by total-light algorithm
SPIE Proceedings, 2011We are reporting the first trial image reconstruction of a implanted fluorescent target into a live rat abdomen. We use a simplified algorithm for fluorescence diffuse optical tomography (FDOT), so-called the Total-light algorithm to obtain the absorption image of the target from the measured mean-transit time (MTT).
