Quantifying the Impact of Relativistic Precession on Tidal Disruption Event Light Curves
ABSTRACT The tidal field of a black hole can turn a star into a gas stream whose orbit can precess, especially if the a black hole is rapidly spinning. In this work, we investigate the impact of precession on the light curves of tidal disruption events (TDE).

Emission-line Variable Active Galactic Nuclei at Cosmic Noon from HETDEX
We present the first statistical census of emission-line variable active galactic nuclei (EVA) at cosmic noon by combining untargeted and deep Hobby–Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment (HETDEX) spectroscopy with multiepoch spectra from the Sloan ...

Hidden No More: Spotlight on Tidal Disruption Events in Active Galactic Nuclei
ABSTRACT Tidal disruption events (TDEs) are typically discovered in previously quiescent galaxies. However, earlier studies have revealed a handful of TDEs occurring in pre‐existing active galactic nuclei (AGN). We discuss AT2019aalc, a promising TDE candidate in an AGN, and compare it to similar sources.

Could the Interband Lag of Active Galactic Nucleus Vary Randomly?
The interband lags among the optical broad-band continua of active galactic nuclei (AGNs) have been intensively explored over the past decade. However, the nature of the lags remains under debate.

Just as fingerprints reveal identity, spectroscopic fingerprints reveal molecular secrets. In this article, we show parts of the unique fingerprint of the sulfur–aromatic interaction. By measuring how this force alters the electronic structure of gas‐phase peptides, we provide a fundamental understanding of interactions that give insights into the ...

ABSTRACT Cells sense the stiffness of their extracellular matrix (ECM) and adapt their behavior accordingly. We investigated how ECM stiffness affects the spatial organization of talin1, a key mechanosensitive focal adhesion protein. Using polyacrylamide (PA) hydrogels with tunable stiffnesses (0.2–188 kPa), we analyzed cell morphology, migration ...
