Adherence to Protocol Recommendations for Children With Wilms Tumour in Two Consecutive Studies in the United Kingdom and Ireland—Does Variation Matter?

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

American Art History in the Time of Crises

open access: yesPanorama, 2021
Taken together, the responses to this Colloquium present the individual experiences of nine contributors who personally reflect upon the events of the past year. We hope that their narratives create a rich stage for understanding how such critical issues

Continuous Histories and the History Group in Generalised Quantum Theory

open access: yes, 1995
We treat continuous histories within the histories approach to generalised quantum mechanics. The essential tool is the `history group': the analogue, within the generalised history scheme, of the canonical group of single-time quantum mechanics.Comment:

In search of relativistic time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper explores the status of some notions which are usually associated to time, like datations, chronology, durations, causality, cosmic time and time functions in the Einsteinian relativistic theories. It shows how, even if some of these notions do

Evaluating the Utility of Paired Tumor and Germline Targeted DNA Sequencing for Pediatric Oncology Patients: A Single Institution Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

A Feeling for History? Bakhtin and `The Problem of Great Time' [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
‘Great time’ has usually been seen as a ‘late term’ of Bakhtin’s. However, although it occurs most frequently in works written in the 1960s and 1970s, there is one known instance of its use in the 1940s.

Parallel dynamics and computational complexity of the Bak-Sneppen model

open access: yes, 2001
The parallel computational complexity of the Bak-Sneppen evolution model is studied. It is shown that Bak-Sneppen histories can be generated by a massively parallel computer in a time that is polylogarithmic in the length of the history. In this parallel
