NRASQ61R Expression in Lymphatic Endothelial Cells Causes Enlarged Vessels, Hemorrhagic Chylous Effusions, and High Mortality in a Mouse Model of Kaposiform Lymphangiomatosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Kaposiform lymphangiomatosis (KLA) is an aggressive complex lymphatic anomaly. Patients exhibit malformed lymphatic vessels and often develop hemorrhagic effusions and elevated angiopoietin‐2 (Ang‐2) levels. A somatic NRAS p.Q61R (NRASQ61R) mutation has been associated with KLA.

Response Spectrum And Time History Analysis Of A Multistoried And Commercial Building

open access: yes, 2017
A Research for high strength and better performance characterstics of floor and roof systems are designed to carry gravity loads and transfer these loads to supporting beams, columns or walls. furthermore, they play a key role in distributing earthquake-induced loads to the lateral load resisting systems by diaphragm action.

Financial Burden Associated With Hospitalisation Among Families of Childhood Brain Tumours in Australia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours

The Fate (Outcome) of Clinically Apparent Single Lesion and Oligofocal Nephroblastomatosis Treated According to SIOP/GPOH Protocols for Wilms Tumor

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The management of clinically apparent single lesions or oligofocal nephroblastomatosis, a facultative precursor of nephroblastoma, remains debated. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 37 patients with clinically apparent single or oligofocal nephroblastomatosis (two to three lesions per kidney) among 2347 patients registered between

Seismic response evaluation of simplified form of tunnel by linear time history analysis

open access: yesDiscover Geoscience
Non-uniform cyclic loading can damage the tunnel structure; for this reason, the present research proposes a simplified form of tunnel for linear time history analysis (LTHA) by using the Hilber-Hughes-Taylor method to evaluate behaviors of the tunnel ...

Statistical Analysis of Complex Problem-Solving Process Data: An Event History Analysis Approach

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2019
Complex problem-solving (CPS) ability has been recognized as a central 21st century skill. Individuals' processes of solving crucial complex problems may contain substantial information about their CPS ability.

LINEAR AND NON-LINEAR ANALYSES OF CABLE-STAYED STEEL FRAME SUBJECTED TO SEISMIC ACTIONS [PDF]

open access: yese-GFOS, 2017
In this study, linear and non-linear dynamic analyses of a cable-stayed steel frame subjected to seismic actions are performed. The analyzed cable-stayed frame is the main supporting structure of a wide-span sports hall.

Inpatient Food Insecurity and Pediatric Hematology Oncology Hospitalization Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Children with cancer and blood disorders are at risk for food insecurity (FI). We aimed to describe the association of inpatient food insecurity (IFI) and hospitalization outcomes among patients admitted to the pediatric hematology oncology service. Of 325 caregivers screened for IFI, 60 (18.6%) screened positive.

Earthquake disaster simulation of regional bridges based on nonlinear dynamic time history response analysis

open access: yes, 2023
Abstract As the hub of the traffic network, the rapid assessment of the damaged state of bridges after earthquakes is of great significance for post-disaster rescue. The traditional vulnerability-based method can only provide the probability of different damage states of structures under different earthquake intensity indicators, which confuses

The engineering merit of the “Effective Period” of bilinear isolation systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper examines whether the “effective period” of bilinear isolation systems, as defined invariably in most current design codes, expresses in reality the period of vibration that appears in the horizontal axis of the design response spectrum ...
