Modern methods for assessing compensation of diabetes mellitus. Effect of continuous glucose monitoring on glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes

open access: yesMìžnarodnij Endokrinologìčnij Žurnal, 2023
Background. An integral part of diabetes mellitus (DM) management is its timely diagnosis. The reference method to study the quality of glycemic control is evaluating the level of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) as one of the most accessible and informative ...

Continuous Glucose Monitoring in Non-Insulin Type 2 Diabetes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Diabetes and Technology, 2023
Diabetes mellitus, a global health concern, is characterized by complex pathophysiology and presents diverse clinical challenges. Effective management of diabetes hinges on key principles such as glycemic control, lifestyle modifications, and adherence ...

Comparison of glucose time in range and area under curve in range in relation to risk of diabetic retinopathy in type 2 diabetes patients

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, 2022
Aims/introduction We proposed a novel continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)‐based metric, area under the curve in range (AucIR), for integrating both the amplitude and duration of dysglycemia, and further compared AucIR with the emerging key CGM‐derived ...

Time in range is a tool for assessing the quality of glycemic control in diabetes

open access: yesСахарный диабет, 2021
The presence of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems has expanded diagnostic capabilities. The implementation of this technology into clinical practice allowed to determine the patterns and tendencies of excursions in glucose levels, to obtain ...

Long-Range Percolation Mixing Time [PDF]

open access: yesCombinatorics, Probability and Computing, 2008
We provide an estimate, sharp up to poly-logarithmic factors, of the asymptotic almost sure mixing time of the graph created by long-range percolation on the cycle of length N ($\Integer/N\Integer$). While it is known that the asymptotic almost sure diameter drops from linear to poly-logarithmic as the exponent s decreases below 2 [4, 9], the ...

Relationship between key continuous glucose monitoring-derived metrics and specific cognitive domains in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

open access: yesBMC Neurology, 2023
Background Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)-derived time in range (TIR) is closely associated with micro- and macrovascular complications in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Time-Periodic Inertial Range Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2019
We present an unstable periodic orbit in large eddy simulation of an incompressible fluid in a periodic box subject to a constant body force. The width of the inertial range of spatial scales, on which this simulation models high-Reynolds-number turbulence, is about three quarters of a decade, and a significant $-5/3$ scaling range is observed.

Ultrasonic time synchronization and ranging on smartphones [PDF]

open access: yes21st IEEE Real-Time and Embedded Technology and Applications Symposium, 2015
In this paper, we present the design and evaluation of a platform that can be used for timesynchronization and indoor positioning of mobile devices. The platform uses the Time-Difference-Of-Arrival (TDOA) of multiple ultrasonic chirps broadcast from a network of beacons placed throughout the environment to find an initial location as well as ...
