High-Efficiency Low-Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Measurements with a Monte Carlo Simulation Algorithm

open access: yesChinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2018
Measurements of longitudinal relaxation time (T1), transverse relaxation time (T2), self-diffusion coefficient (D0),T2-T1 and T2-D0 are central in NMR-based oil logging. The SGSE sequence is commonly used to measure D0, in which the interval time between

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Record-based onset of irreversibility in continuously monitored open quantum systems [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances
We develop a calibration-based framework for effective irreversibility in continuously monitored open quantum systems. The central quantity is Irec(t)=DKL(P1(t)‖P0(t)), the Kullback–Leibler divergence between calibrated measurement-record laws under two ...

The Measurement of Very Short Time Intervals [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review, 1920
Measurement of very short time intervals; a partial deflection method.---After briefly reviewing the usual method of determining time intervals of the order of microseconds, the author describes a method in which the potential difference of a condenser after it has been discharged for the interval of time to be measured, is accurately determined by ...

The effects of delay to reinforcement and inter-trial interval on fixed-ratio schedule performance

open access: yes, 2013
A delay to reinforcement has been found in previous studies to influence the effectiveness of a reinforcer. As the delay duration increases, response rates decrease and post reinforcement pause durations increase.

Simulating Future GPS Clock Scenarios With Two Composite Clock Algorithms

open access: yes, 2010
Using the GPS Toolkit, the GPS constellation is simulated using thirty-one satellites (SV) and a ground network of seventeen monitor stations (MS). At every 15 minute measurement epoch, the monitor stations measure the time signals of all satellites ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.
